The second edition of digHuman brings the programme to Porto.
Students from the three partner universities first work together online before meeting in Porto for the intensive final phase of the programme.
This edition connects Digital Humanities learning with the work of Casa dos Livros Centre for Culture Studies in Portugal, part of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto.
The Challenge
Making Culture Visible Through Digital Media
Students are challenged to develop multimedia content and project proposals that can help communicate and promote the activities of Casa dos Livros. Working in international and interdisciplinary teams, they will investigate the institution, its audiences and its communication needs before developing their proposals. The challenge invites participants to consider not only what digital technologies can produce, but also what should be communicated, to whom and why.

A Living Space for Portuguese Literary and Cultural Heritage
Casa dos Livros – Centre for Culture Studies in Portugal brings together important documentary and literary collections and supports research, consultation and cultural initiatives connected with Portuguese culture and literature. Its collections and activities provide the real-world environment for the 2026 digHuman challenge.
